  • If there's one thing small to medium business owners can learn, it's the importance of trust. Trust in your product, trust in your process, and trust in the timing of things. It's easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day operations of your business and lose sight of what you're working so hard for.

That's where a partnership like Cold Gold and Stoneriver with Wemu comes in - they inspire you to stay focused on your goals while providing you the support you need in order to reach them.

So how do you know when it's time to take that next step? When should you invest in a new technology? Listen to those signs from the universe, follow your intuition, and Wemu will be there.

Cold Gold & Stone River: Finding Your Niche

Stoneriver was first launched in 2014, and was relaunched again at the beginning of the pandemic.

As a small to medium business owner, you're always juggling a million different things at once. You're trying to keep your head above water, while also planning for the future and growing your business. It's hard to know when to make that next move, and even harder to know if it's the right one.

"Know your niche and trust the divine timing of your life." These are the insightful words of businesswoman Kimberly Faith Sabala, owner and founder of locally handmade brands Cold Gold and Stoneriver.

Through Kimberly's strategic thinking, background in advertising, passion for crafting locally handmade jewelry, and last but not the least, her partnership with Wemu, she was able to launch her jewelry lines Cold Gold and Stoneriver into the successful brands that we know and love today.

Cold Gold & Stone River: A Bohemian Vibe

As a small business owner, you're always looking for new creative ways to market your company and stand out from the competition. If you're looking for something a little more unique than the traditional route, take inspiration from the world of Cold Gold & Stone River.

These Bohemian-inspired brands are packed with beautiful locally handmade goods and eclectic finds that are perfect for the sophisticated Bohemian. With so many unique items to choose from, you're sure to find something that helps capture your personal style.

As the owner of Cold Gold and Stoneriver, Kimberly is very hands on with the designs as she does them herself.

In the past, Kimberly found that there was a scarcity of bohemian-inspired accessories in the Philippine market. Inspired by Bohemian style icons Vanessa Hudgens and the Olsen twins, she then created her own fashion lines - Cold Gold back in 2016 and Stoneriver back in 2014. She started designing and DIY-ing her own accessories by making fringe leather necklaces, crystals, handchains, bodychains and blings - the Coachella wear.

Kimberly has been in the fashion industry for years and loves anything that champions Filipino goods. She works with local suppliers when sourcing gemstones and with Filipino designers when designing for both brands. Their skills and creativity deserves to be displayed in a bigger and more accessible platform so they can be discoverable on a global scale as well.

    Evolving with Wemu

Kimberly's work is both challenging and rewarding as a businessowner and a creative. Not only is she managing her business, she is also designing, crafting and teaching her team how she make the designs. Right now she only has a fulfillment officer and customer service representative in her team. Everything else is handled by her - she is her own art director, photographer, admin, web developer, and marketer. As a businessowner, she wears a lot of hats all at the same time.

In a few years from now, she hopes that there will be more online platforms championing Filipino designers and MSMEs like Wemu. She loves to partner with other brands who believe what she believes in - to position small to medium Filipino businesses in the global market. And Wemu does just that, for the business management app is very MSME friendly.

What Kimberly loves about Wemu in particular is the dashboard, and how an owner can loop all team members and assign tasks to see what is being accomplished. She loves how accessible the dashboard is and how it allows you to collaborate with your team.

Her advice to aspiring entrepreneurs or starting business owners is knowing when to evolve and automate. Fortunately for her brands like Cold Gold and Stoneriver, they have an avenue for their locally handmade accessories through the Wemu platform. She hopes to see more local brands use Wemu, so that more Filipino businesses can be easily found on the digital map.
