Customer profiles, activity and messaging

Everything about a customer on one page: details, bookings, forms, credit and every message

Finding a customer

πŸ“

Navigate to: Sidebar β†’ Customers

The list shows everyone in your directory. Open support requests from customers appear in a strip at the top. From here you can also open Reminders, bring in a list with Import with AI, or Add Customer.

What's on a customer's page

  • At the top: total spent, number of orders, average order value, last order and no-shows
  • Contact Information, plus Additional Information for your own customer fields
  • Bookings, Reminders, Forms and notes. A form the customer must complete before their next appointment is flagged under Required before check-in.
  • Payment, Store credit, Credit packs and Subscription
  • Activity: one timeline of everything that's happened with this customer

The Activity timeline

Activity brings together notes, bookings, orders, invoices, quotes, texts, campaign emails, reminders, marketing-permission changes, store-credit changes and the calls, meetings, support requests and emails you log.

Press Log interaction to record a call, meeting, support request or email that happened outside Wemu.

Messaging a customer

On the Activity card, press Message and choose:

  • Email: sent from your business through Wemu. Replies go to your own inbox.
  • SMS: sent straight away, using SMS credits. The conversation carries on in Messages β†’ Customer SMS.

The actions menu

Next to Add Booking, the menu has:

  • Add note and Discuss internally (opens a team chat thread about this customer)
  • Send invoice, Send account statement and Send pass email
  • Send SMS (when they have a mobile number), Set reminder… and Send intake / waiver form
  • The deposit flag options, for owners and managers (see No-shows, customer flags and deposits)
  • Edit details and Delete customer

Marketing permission

When you add or edit a customer, the Marketing permission card records whether they're happy to get marketing emails and texts. See Marketing consent, unsubscribes and quiet hours.

Who can see and change customers

When you add or edit a team member, their Customers access has four switches: Add customers, Edit customers, Delete customers and View customer notes. With notes off, the customer opens without consultation and treatment notes, so the front desk can book without reading them.
