Barcodes and QR codes in Wemu
Wemu can generate barcodes and QR codes for your products, making it easy to scan items at the point of sale or share product links with customers.
Navigate to: Sidebar → Products → Select Product → Barcode section
Generating a barcode
- Open a product from your catalog
- Scroll to the Barcode section
- If the product doesn't have a barcode yet, tap Generate Barcode
- Wemu creates a unique barcode number and displays the scannable image
- You can also manually enter an existing barcode if your products already have them

Using QR codes
QR codes are great for linking directly to a product on your public profile. Customers can scan the code with their phone to view the product and make a purchase.
- Open the product details
- Tap the QR Code option
- A QR code is generated that links to the product page on your public profile
- Download or print the QR code for display in your store
Printing barcodes
You can print barcodes for labeling physical products:
- From the product detail screen, tap Print Barcode
- Choose your label size and quantity
- Print directly to a compatible label printer or as a PDF
Scanning at the point of sale
When processing orders, you can use your device's camera or a connected barcode scanner to quickly add products to the cart. Just scan the barcode and the product is added automatically.
Tip: Print barcode labels for your most popular items and stick them on shelves or packaging. This speeds up checkout significantly for retail businesses.
Manual barcode entry
If you already have products with barcodes from a supplier, you can enter them manually:
- Open the product
- Type the barcode number in the Barcode field
- Save the product
Wemu supports standard barcode formats including EAN-13, UPC-A, and Code 128.
