Shopify product and inventory sync

Sync your Shopify catalog into Wemu so one inventory serves both storefronts

What this does

Pulls your Shopify products, variants, and stock counts into Wemu. Useful if:

  • You have an existing Shopify store you want to keep, AND
  • You want to use Wemu for in-person sales / appointments / services

Inventory stays in sync — sell a shirt in the Wemu POS, the Shopify online store's stock count decrements automatically (and vice versa).

Connect Shopify

📍

Navigate to: Settings → Integrations → Shopify

  1. Tap Connect Shopify
  2. Enter your Shopify store URL (e.g. `acme-cafe.myshopify.com`)
  3. You're redirected to Shopify to authorise Wemu's app
  4. Grant read/write on products, inventory, orders
  5. Redirected back to Wemu — initial sync starts

What syncs

  • Products — name, description, images, SKU, barcode, variants, prices
  • Inventory counts — kept in real-time sync via Shopify's webhook + our polling
  • Categories — Shopify Collections → Wemu Categories

What doesn't sync

  • Orders placed on Shopify remain in Shopify (Wemu doesn't try to re-own Shopify's checkout)
  • Discounts and gift cards (platform-specific for now)

Which product is "master"?

We recommend treating Shopify as the master for synced products — edit in Shopify, changes flow to Wemu. Wemu-only products (services, appointment types, bundles) are editable in Wemu and never pushed to Shopify.

Sync frequency

  • Live — via Shopify webhooks for new orders / inventory changes
  • Nightly — a full reconciliation catches any webhook misses

Disconnecting

Settings → Integrations → Shopify → Disconnect — stops sync. Existing Wemu copies of the Shopify products become standalone — you can edit them freely in Wemu without affecting Shopify.
