Why custom date ranges matter
Every business has different reporting needs. Tax periods, promotion windows, seasonal comparisons — standard date ranges don't always fit. Custom filtering lets you analyze exactly the period you care about.
Navigate to: Sidebar → Reports → Any report → Date picker
Setting a custom date range
- Open any report in the Reports section
- Tap the date picker at the top
- You'll see preset options: Today, This Week, This Month, This Quarter, This Year
- Tap Custom Range
- Select a start date and end date
- Tap Apply
The report refreshes to show data only from the selected period.

Preset date ranges
For convenience, Wemu offers quick presets:
- Today — Just today's data
- Yesterday — Previous day
- This Week — Monday to today
- Last Week — Previous Monday to Sunday
- This Month — 1st of the month to today
- Last Month — Full previous month
- This Quarter — Current 3-month period
- Last Quarter — Previous 3-month period
- This Year — January 1 to today
- Last Year — Full previous year
Comparing two periods
The comparison feature lets you see how one period stacks up against another:
- Select your primary date range
- Tap Compare
- Choose to compare against:
- Previous period (same number of days)
- Same period last year
- A custom comparison range
- Metrics show side-by-side with percentage changes
Use cases for custom ranges
- Promotion analysis — Compare revenue during a promotion vs. the week before
- Seasonal trends — Compare summer months across different years
- Tax reporting — Pull data for your exact fiscal periods
- Event impact — Measure the effect of an event on a specific date range
Tip: When comparing periods, make sure you're comparing the same number of days. Comparing a 31-day month to a 28-day month can be misleading. Use the custom range to get exact apples-to-apples comparisons.
