The credit model
Wemu uses credits instead of a flat "messages per month" cap. Why? Because SMS pricing varies hugely by country — sending to Australia costs us about 5× more than sending to the US. A single allowance doesn't make sense.
Each SMS deducts a different number of credits depending on where it's going:
| Destination | Credits per SMS |
|---|---|
| 🇺🇸 US / Canada | 1 |
| 🇬🇧 UK / Europe | 2 |
| 🇵🇭 Philippines | 3 |
| 🇦🇺 Australia / NZ | 4 |
| 🌏 Other countries | 5 |

The three packs
| Tier | Credits | Price | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | 500/mo | $19 | Light volume — booking confirmations only |
| Growth | 2,000/mo | $59 | Most popular — booking + occasional marketing |
| Scale | 5,000/mo | $129 | High volume — marketing campaigns + all auto-SMS |

Carry-over
Unused credits roll over to next month, capped at 1.5× your monthly grant. So a Growth pack (2,000/mo) caps at 3,000 carry-over. Anything above that is forfeited at the renewal — visible in the transaction ledger as a "carry-over cap" entry.
One-time top-ups
Hit your limit mid-month? Buy a top-up:
- +500 for $19
- +2,000 for $59
- +5,000 for $129
Top-up credits stack on your monthly balance and don't expire until you use them.

Transaction history
Every credit grant, send, refund, and forfeit is logged in Settings → SMS Credits → Recent transactions.

Trial accounts
Trial businesses automatically get the Scale tier (5,000 credits) for free during the 7-day trial. After trial expires, the credits stay until you actually use them; the monthly grant is revoked unless you subscribe.
