What is the Kanban order board
The Kanban board gives you a visual way to track orders as they move through your workflow. Instead of a flat list, orders are organized into columns that represent stages of fulfillment.
Navigate to: Sidebar → Orders → Board view
Default order stages
- Pending — New orders that haven't been reviewed yet
- Approved — Orders that have been accepted and are being prepared
- Shipping — Orders that are out for delivery or ready for pickup
- Done — Completed orders
How to use the board
- Go to Orders and switch to the Board view
- See all active orders organized by stage
- Drag an order card from one column to the next as it progresses
- Tap an order card to see its full details

Moving orders between stages
You can advance an order by:
- Dragging the card to the next column
- Opening the order and tapping the Advance button
- Using the quick action menu on the card
What each card shows
Each order card displays:
- Customer name
- Order number
- Order total
- Time since the order was placed
- Number of items
- Order type (dine-in, delivery, etc.)
Filtering the board
Use filters to focus on what matters:
- Filter by order type (delivery only, dine-in only)
- Filter by date range
- Filter by assigned team member
- Search by customer name or order number
Tip: The Kanban board works best when your team updates order status in real time. If you're running a busy kitchen or shop, assign one person to manage the board during peak hours. This keeps everyone informed about what needs attention.
Using the board for kitchen management
For food businesses, the board acts as a digital kitchen display. New orders appear in Pending, the kitchen moves them to Approved when they start preparing, and marks them as Done when the food is ready.
