Tasks & Bookings

Board, List, and Timeline views

Switch between different task visualization modes

Three ways to view your tasks

Wemu offers three different views for managing tasks, and you can switch between them at any time. Each view shows the same data in a different layout.

📍

Navigate to: Sidebar → Tasks → View toggle (Board / List / Timeline)

Board view (Kanban)

The board view organizes tasks into columns by status. This is the best view for:

  • Seeing workflow at a glance
  • Dragging tasks through stages
  • Identifying bottlenecks (too many tasks in one column)
  • Daily stand-up meetings

List view

The list view shows tasks in a table format with sortable columns. This is the best view for:

  • Seeing all tasks in a compact list
  • Sorting by due date, priority, or assignee
  • Bulk actions (selecting multiple tasks to update)
  • Working with a large number of tasks

The list view shows columns for task name, status, assignee, due date, priority, and subtask progress. Tap any column header to sort by that field.

Timeline view

The timeline view shows tasks on a horizontal timeline based on their due dates. This is the best view for:

  • Planning work over weeks or months
  • Seeing how tasks overlap in time
  • Identifying scheduling conflicts
  • Long-term project planning

Tasks appear as bars on the timeline, with length indicating their duration (if start and end dates are set).

Switching between views

At the top of the Tasks screen, you'll see icons for Board, List, and Timeline. Tap any icon to switch views instantly. Your filters and selections carry over between views.

Which view should I use?

There's no single right answer — it depends on what you're doing:

  • Day-to-day work — Board view to see what's pending and in progress
  • Weekly planning — List view sorted by due date
  • Monthly planning — Timeline view to see the big picture
  • Team meetings — Board view to walk through each column

Tip: Try all three views and find what works for your team. Many people use the board view for daily work and switch to timeline view for planning sessions. The important thing is that your team actually uses the tool consistently.
