Repurchase reminders

Email customers when a product they bought should be running out

The quiet revenue leak

A customer buys a serum, loves it, runs out in week eight, and buys the next one somewhere else because nothing reminded them you sell it. Repurchase reminders close that gap.

Setting it up

๐Ÿ“

Navigate to: Sidebar โ†’ Products โ†’ open a product โ†’ Pricing & Inventory

Fill in Repurchase reminder (days, optional) with roughly how long one lasts, then save. The field is the switch: leave it blank and that product never sends a reminder.

What happens

Once a day, Wemu looks for customers whose last purchase of that product was that many days ago, and emails them "Running low on" the product, with a Restock button to your online shop.

The purchase counts when:

  • it's a completed sale from Wemu POS or your online shop, and
  • the sale is attached to a customer who has an email address

Products sold on an invoice don't trigger reminders.

The guardrails

  • One reminder per purchase. Buying again starts the clock again, so nobody is reminded twice for the same purchase.
  • Each reminder is added to the customer's Activity, so your team can see it.
  • Reminders count toward your weekly email allowance. See Email campaigns, allowance & credits.
  • Customers who unsubscribed or said no to marketing emails aren't sent them.
  • Reminders go by email only. To text a customer, set a reminder on their page; see Customer reminders.

Turning it off

Clear the field on each product you don't want reminders for. There's no switch for the whole business in Settings yet; if you need one, contact Wemu support.

Tip: Be realistic about timing. A 30ml serum used daily lasts six to eight weeks, so a reminder at day 50 feels helpful and one at day 21 feels like spam.
