Tables: floor plan, rounds and paying

Set up your floor plan

Tables are set up in Wemu POS, not on the web. They're saved to your business, so every tablet sees the same floor plan.

1. Press Add Area and name it, for example Main floor, Patio or Bar
2. Choose the area and press Add Table. Set the No. of seats and the Table shape: Round, Square or Rectangle.
3. Switch the view from Cards to Floorplan, drag the tables into place, and press Save layout

This page describes Wemu POS 1.5.0, which goes out first to tablets that Wemu updates directly.

Starting an order at a table

1. Tap the Tables icon in the top bar
2. Tap a free table, enter How many guests? and press Open Table
3. Ring up items as normal. They belong to that table, not a walk-in sale.

Sending rounds to the kitchen

Tap Send order to send the round to the kitchen and keep it on the table's bill without taking payment. Send order shows when you have a kitchen display or a kitchen printer. You can also tap Add to tab to put the round on the table's tab, or on a tab for one person at the table.

Each round prints or shows at the station that prepares it, based on the station set for each category in Settings → Kitchen routing on the web. See Kitchen stations.

To add more later, tap the table and choose Add items. Everything already ordered stays on the bill, and only the new items go to the kitchen.

Paying and freeing a table

Tap the table and choose Tabs and payment. It lists every round on the table:

• Add round: add more items
• Bill: show the bill so far, ready to print
• Pay: pay for the whole table, or pay one person's tab on its own
• Free table: clear the table once nothing is owed. If money is still owed, Wemu lists it; take payment, or have a manager void the tab, first.

Table details shows the items, customer, notes and history. Its Close button only clears the table on that tablet, so use Free table instead: unpaid rounds come back the next time someone taps the table.
