Set up your floor plan
On the web dashboard:
- Settings → Table layout → + Add area (e.g. Main floor, Patio, Bar)
- Inside each area, + Add table — name it, set seat count and shape (square, round, long)
- Drag tables to arrange the visual layout
The POS picks up the layout the next time you open the app.
Starting an order at a table
- On POS home, tap the Tables icon in the top bar
- Tap any table in your chosen area
- Tap Add items — you're dropped on the product grid with that table "active" (shown in the top-left)
- Add items as normal — they're attached to this table, not a walk-in sale
Saving a tab without charging
Customer wants to keep ordering? Don't take payment yet.
Tap Save to table (under the cart) — the cart clears, the table now shows the running total, and the items are queued to the kitchen tickets.
Reopen the table later (same steps 1-2 above → tap Add items) to keep adding. Everything accumulates on the same tab.
Sending to kitchen / bar
When you save-to-table OR ring an order with a table selected, prep tickets route to the printers tagged for each item's category:
- Food items → kitchen printer
- Drinks → bar printer
- Coffee → coffee station
You configure the routing in Settings → Printers on the POS app. Any un-routed items print to the "default prep" printer.
Settling the tab
When the customer is ready to pay:
- Open the table → Pay
- The cart loads with everything that's been ordered
- Run the normal checkout flow — cash, card, Tap to Pay, split
- The table auto-closes after payment completes
Servers can also tap Bill first to print a bill ticket for the customer to review before paying.
Closing a table without a sale
Occasionally a customer leaves without paying (or the tab should be zeroed out for a comp). Open the table → Close table — confirms, clears the tab, and the order is marked cancelled in History.
