Download and install
Wemu POS is a free companion app for your Wemu subscription. It runs on:
- iPhone (iOS 15+) — from the App Store
- iPad (iPadOS 15+) — same App Store listing, universal build
- Android phones and tablets — from Google Play
Search for Wemu POS in either store, or scan the QR code on the [Wemu POS product page](/pos).
First sign-in
- Open the app and enter the same email + password you use on the web dashboard
- Pick the business and branch you're operating
- The app downloads your product catalog, tables, team list, and printers — this happens once and then works offline
Pro tip: Use the SSO button if you signed up with Google or Apple on the web.
Ring your first sale
- Tap any product tile on the main grid to add it to the cart on the right
- Tap the product again to increment the quantity, or use the + / − steppers on the cart row
- Tap Charge (the green total at the bottom of the cart)
- Pick a payment method — cash, card, Tap to Pay on iPhone, split, QR
- For cash: enter the amount tendered; the app computes change for you
- Tap Complete payment
- Email, print, or SMS the receipt — customer choice
Navigate to: POS home → product grid → cart panel → Charge
What to set up before your first shift
- Printers — pair Bluetooth or enter the LAN IP for each thermal receipt / kitchen printer. See [Setting up receipt printers](/help/setting-up-receipt-printers).
- Staff PINs — every team member gets a 4-digit PIN so every sale is attributed to someone. See [Staff PIN sign-in & audit trail](/help/staff-pin-sign-in).
- Cash drawer — open the drawer with your starting float at the start of each shift.
- Stripe Connect — connect once on the web dashboard, and the POS picks up your payment credentials automatically.
Keep your session secure
- The app locks automatically when you background it for more than 5 minutes
- Tap the lock icon next to your name in the top bar to hand the till to another staff member
- Full logout from the menu sheet forgets the credentials on this device
